I have my son (11) with me and we’ve seen a spike, doe and 2 yearlings. Was gonna let him shoot the doe but she never gave him a shot opportunity. Of course one of the yearlings gives him a 50 yard shot and I have to tell him no. So ready for him to get a shot at one.

Just sat down in the cut over with my 11 yr old. We are trying the no scent no sound approach to get a buck that has been feeding at 11 on camera every day. Nothing but crows so far

Went to the other side of my county this morning to trim up some roads for turkey season. By far more people hunting this morning than I've seen in several years. 5-6 trucks parked. Another 2-3 headed in gates. Was out from about 7am-9am and still have yet to hear a hunting shot this year.
