I am hoping to get a job offer from a new employer as I’ve been unemployed since October..the company offers health insurance but it’s Cigna.. I had them 14 yrs ago but since have had BCBS.. is Cigna decent and do most doctors take it?

From my experience with Cigna over the last 2 months they are either overwhelmed or don’t give a rip. I had to stay on top of them during my short term disability. I am not a fan.

I have had it for several years now through my employer. It's just ok insurance in my opinion. It's going to pay ok for basic doc in the box places, but will screw you if you have to have any lab work sent off. The biggest thing you better be aware of, is to use their in network doctors only or you will be responsible for about 40% of the bill. It's not the best, but there is a lot worse out there.

Probably depends on where you are at and who around you takes it. I have had it for the last 14 years and haven’t had any real issues. General care coverage has been great. The biggest issue I’ve had is ER visits when the hospital takes Cigna but the doctor on call didn’t.

Catastrophe insurance at best. This is what our BCBS has become also. They’ve picked up some supplemental thing with it now but all I’ve noticed is it’s got our copay down 15 dollars a visit. What I tell everyone at work we got get you in the door and sue you later insurance

We have Cigna. If you have a PPO plan you should not have any issues, if you have a HSA/Coinsurance plan you will most likely have in network / out of net work issues. I currently have a ppo plan and haven't had any issues until today. I had elbow surgery scheduled for next Wednesday, well Drs office called today and said insurance denied it because of scheduled hospital. Had to reschedule it to the 23rd at a different place. We are going to a 90/70 HSA plan January 1 and I ain't happy about it. Alot of Drs around Hsv are not in network for Cigna HSA that are with Cigna PPO. Just something for you to look into.

Off topic a little but you guys that get health insurance from your employer, you should always consider that as part of your income. For instance a silver bcbs plan costs me around $1875 per month. So if you look on the bright side if you employer pays half, you are making about $215 per week or $5 more per hour than it appears on the surface.

That's why I'm up to drive a school bus every day. The pay is not great but the insurance makes up for it 10 fold. Just curious. How many hours per day does a bus driver work?

If you want to kill people over dogs and go to prison for what you would do to children on a school bus, I’m all for someone doing a welfare check on you. Hope you are just a blowhard jellyfish, but you really do post some shucks.
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids
