This is the first year that we have been able to legally bait deer. I was wondering your opinion so far whether it has helped you or has it changed your deer patterns in any way? I have had some good bucks on camera, but cannot say that I have seen them over any corn. I have seen more does. Just wondering everyone's opinion who is using corn. This is not a debate, just curious.

I have two very solid buck kills so far 100% due to corn. One was my kill and one a friends daughter I guided.

Results are yet to be determined. We don’t shoot does on green fields, but our hunters just like to see deer. So as far as number go they all tend to sit on fields to observe. Even though we’re not shooting does on them the pressure going in and out is elevated. We’ve used corn in spots away from our greenfields with hopes of keeping pressure off the fields, and still have increased odds of seeing deer and getting a shot. The rut kicks in in about a week, so we will see what’s using the fields since they haven’t been hunted at all.

Made my pockets shallow. Iput out corn in 2 Small tracts in Chilton I hunt. I got some big deer there, butno daylight Sightings yet. I have been laying off them till the rut in January. I'm in a club in Coosa, we can put out corn if we want to. It is 2000 acres mostly hardwood.we have way 2 many white Oak acorns. Really no need for corn.Im seeing lots of does and spikes. No rack bucks as of yet.some good ones on camera though,.just a matter Of time. But The corn probably will do good But not yet.

I've always put out corn to get trail cam pics. I bought the permit this year, but strangely I haven't bought a single bag of corn, and the only camera I've put out was for 4 days on Choccolocco WMA. Go figure.
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

It levels the playing field. I’ve seen a lot of deer this year and killed a nice buck. I’m not sure corn has made a big deference. Food is scarce because of the drought. That has a lot to do with it.

House I’d say it hasn’t helped at all maybe hurt a little. The lease it has helped some but not as much as some thought it would.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Shot a nice 8 point without. Shot a bigger 8 point over corn and range pellets in a greenfield. Shot another big 8 point I couldn’t find in bow season in a green field with corn in it. Strangely enough they haven’t gone nocturnal simply because of corn. crazy how that myth isn’t true. Also have shot 3 does at corn in a greenfield. I always keep my corn spread very thin.

Shot an 8 point with my bow in the woods without any bait. Wife shot an 8 on a Greenfield. Crazy how you can still kill deer without corn. Neighbors on all sides are baiting. Do believe them baiting, and us not allowing bait has actually helped alleviate our hog issue some. Haven't seen too many of them this year. I'm sure they're not far,but theyre not hammering our acorns as hard when they can to hammer the neighbors corn.

Our plots look like steamed crap. We put up feeders to supplement and keep deer

No different this yr than last yr. Dont rifle hunt over it much but keep the feeders full so the deer have no reason to leave

I think its made things worse in my club. Members are constantly in and out of the property putting out feed and checking cameras. Way more pressure than normal. I havent had a daytime buck on cameras since bow season started.
