Today makes 7 months on Keto. Down to 245. That's 66 lbs since starting Keto and a total of 70 lbs since mid February. Praise the Lord for the weight loss. I started this with a goal of getting a grip on my physical and spiritual health. I've done better with one than I have the other. It's been at least 20 and probably 25 years since I've weighed what I do now.

Congrats, Brad.
That’s awesome.

I’m down 42 since April 1. From 276 to 234. My all time high was 305 a few years back.
Doc wants me at 200.
My weight loss has slowed to just a pound here and there. But I’m not as strict as I should be. I’m eating 75-150 carbs a day, averaging 1,800 calories. I cheat a little now and again (a hash brown at Huddle House after Friday night football). But sugar, bread, pasta, potatoes are pretty much out.
I’m really shocked I’m this low. If I get to 210-220, I’ll be tickled.
Had to buy a new belt this weekend. I’d drilled 3 holes in the old one and the end was nearly to my back.
I’ve also lost hair and glasses this year. People say they have to do double take to make sure it’s me.

“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”

On the distance I like to walk to my stands:
“The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

Thanks AC! Keep up the good work brother. In hindsight this has been a very easy process for me. The first couple of months were full of cravings to be fought off but after that it hasn’t been hard. I guess that’s because I haven’t had to be hungry all the time. My weight loss has really slowed down and had all but stalled for the past 2 months but I finally figured out I wasn’t eating enough! I never thought that would be a problem for me but it was.

I’ve had to buy a whole new wardrobe. I’m glad it finally got cold, I had been waiting til then to buy new clothes. I’m now wearing XL shirts. This spring 3XL shirts were getting too small.

At 246 this morning. Up one pound this month. Not really sure why. It wasn't from Thanksgiving feasting. My weight has been all over the place this month. At the end of last month and the beginning of the month I was frustrated from not losing much weight and not focused on eating right. After-3 weeks of that I decided to do a 3 day water fast and get back serious. I've been very strict keto again for 3 weeks. During that time my weight has fluctuated from a high of 252, down to 242, then back to 250, down to 244, back to 248, then now at 246. I know much of the fluctuation is water weight but I haven't isolated what's causing it. I have figured out that eating peanuts causes me to hold water weight (inflammation) and I haven't eaten any of them in the past week, but am still having fluctuations.

Be careful with the peanuts, one ounce is 2.7g of net carbs.

Fur,I weigh every day and I see massive fluctuations. I can weigh nearly 10 lbs more over just 2 days or nearly 10 less in just 2 or 3 days. I don't stress over the difference but if I see a 3-4 day gaining trend I'll eat less for 2-3 days or even fast a day to get back to my lowest weight over the last few days.

Fuzzy I don’t think the carbs they have is what’s doing it. I think it’s just a inflammatory process.

RH, the numbers in the scale don’t bother me as much now as they did a couple months ago when this stall started. I do get frustrated sometimes with the pounds not dropping but can handle it in stride now. I’ve been doing more intermittent fasting again for the last few days so I’m going to see if that helps.

Nine months in. Down to 241. That’s 70lbs down on keto and 74lbs down total. I’ve been down to 239 but 241 is where I’m at today.. intermittent fasting got the weight loss started again. It’s still slow but I keep reminding myself I’m not running a race. Got a bi-annual doctors appointment Tuesday. If he does any bloodwork I’ll update with results.

I had a couple of guys contact me via PM around regarding keto around the 1st. You can do this! If I can do it there’s no way you can’t. The first week us the worst.

Proud of y’all that have made fantastic strides. I made the decision to start tomorrow evening as we had some things to get out of the house and events to get past. I am creating a two week menu to give myself the best chance to succeed in the hardest part. I’ve done this diet about three times and only once made a menu/plan that was my most successful attempt. Unfortunately I allowed other things to overcome my success and get in the way. I lost 50 lbs from mid 2018 to early 2019 then gained 20 back in the course of the rest of 19. I have 55 left to my goal and pray I can use your success for my inspiration.

Great job Fur. I've gained a few over the holidays, time to get it back off.

Thanks guys. Posting my progress has helped keep me accountable. That's helped me stay on track. I have not been nearly as strict for the past month but have still lost weight while doing IF. I'm gonna buckle back down and hopefully increase the speed that I'm losing weight. I really think the reason for the long stall that I had was not eating enough fat. That and not being disciplined with IF.

I need to drop 25 to 35. Gonna try starting tomorrow.
My son is doing the 8/16 intermittent fasting and I’m going to attempt to work some of that in.

It can be done. I been doing Tito/keto diet since July 1. Down 75# since then. Cutting out the beer and a meal a day has been what’s worked for me the most. Like fur said the first month is a beeotch but since then it’s been easy

I’ll just be a happy 190lbs before I cut out beer. I do enjoy the Tito’s and diet green tea.

My question for you guys that have been on this a while: does your gut ever get more accepting of all these greens? Good grief, the spinach & kale rips through me so fast & furious that heading to the bathroom has become a cardio workout. If this don't improve, the diet will not be sustainable for me I am afraid.

Hippie, I don’t eat much spinach and haven’t eaten any kale since I don’t know when. I don’t have any trouble with salads though
