I’d get first lite.. but yes it is. Until you’ve worn it it’s hard to justify.

I have a few pieces of Sitka gear that I bought for Western hunting in September. It's good quality stuff for sure but we had a hook up through a rep that allowed us to get it at a steep discount. Not sure I'd pay full price to be honest. I will say that the core lightweight hoody is an excellent baselayer. That's the one piece I've used or had close friends that have used that I might actually pay full price.

From the few pieces I have yes. But I’ve also discovered it’s a little over kill here in the southeast. I understand it breaths really good, keeps you dry and all that but for our warm winters UA or nomad works just as well.

I’d look at first lite. I looked at the two but opted out of Sitka. There pattern in the whitetail line I’m not a fan of. I wish they would offer their other patterns in it.

Whatever you get, I HIGHLY recommend these two Sitka items because they will help keep you warm as can be. Well worth the money. I have three gaiters and have given several as gifts. Neck Gaiter https://www.sitkagear.com/products/neck-gaiter/elevated-iiBeanie https://www.sitkagear.com/products/fanatic-beanie/elevated-iiI do not recommend walking a long distance in either of these. Put them on after you get in the stand or blind. As for other Sitka apparel, I believe it's worth the money. First Lite and Kuiu are solid as well.

Here's my take on the Big 3
Kuiu, the 2 way stretch teton pant was built tough, no longer made. The 2 way stretch stuff they have now is the Sierra. The 2 way clothing articles pill much less than the 4 way stretch garments from any of the 3 makers and last longer. That's fact for items from Kuiu, Sitka, and first lite. The peloton hoodies are my favorite item from any of the camo makers. Gaiters work well also.
Sitka, the items I have are all solid, I like their lite-weight hoodie. I don't have as much Sitka as First Lite/Kuiu
First Lite. The corrugate guide pants are very comfortable but, briars/stickers will pull badly on them. I was wearing those when I killed my bull this year. Their pants are all 4 way stretch and pill badly. The wick crew shirts and hoodie are comfy but stickers tear holes in them very easily. For that reason only, I will not buy them again. The small gaiters are great for keeping boots laced and debris out of your boot.
I get discounts from all three and I keep going back to Kuiu. The Kuiu and First Lite patterns break up the human outline better than Sitka also.
Those are my opinions and experiences. Others may like another brand. Skree has been on Camofire lately so, you can call and order that directly from them if ya like too.

I was looking at getting a few pieces but decided against after my friend told me this. Sitka's best jackets are similar. Their best coats are their waterfowl stuff. Their whitetail stuff has a better woods hunting material but is designed stupid by duck hunters. If the older Duck Oven coat with the low pockets had a better outer material it would be the finest deer huntin' coat on the market, period. It's still mighty fine.

My opinion, Kuiu is worth the money. Not as expensive as Sitka, and just as good in quality. Comes with lifetime warranty. By the way, the guy that came up with Sitka, sold it and started Kuiu.
