Can anyone tell me if they have had luck with them. I know some people that have told me that they made their arrows fly untrue. Are they worth spending the money on or are they a waist of good effort.

If they are worth spending the money on what is the best brand...and color?????????

I started Illumenoks and then tried the Easton brand. I definitely prefer the Easton brand. Red is my color of choice.

I like the illumiknocks. No problems so far.

I shot a couple of deer last year with them and had no trouble out of them. I haven't seen any difference in my groupings when I practiced with them last year.

The Easton Tracers have the best system as far as activating and deactivating. Only problem is the battery packs on them tend to end up lodged in the opposite end of the arrow after the arrow hits the target. I think they're all expensive junk.

Slammed some of the Carbon Express into the target this year, held up fine. Look real cool at dark - don't like the non-replaceable batteries, but might give 'em a try on deer.

Easton is an arrow company that makes lighted nocks for arrows and esp, their arrows; I don't think the other mgf's make arrows. Anyway, I was talked into buying the Easton lighted nocks last week but haven't used one. I think they are great as it helps you see where you hit the deer you shot at. Also, if you don't get pass-thru, and the arrow stays in the deer, you'll be able (maybe) to see where the deer is laying dead esp at night.

I like the idea but this year will be the first year to shoot'em!

I'd buy Easton's LN's.

i build my own, they work alot better than the ones that I have bought, check out the videos on youtube, and they are alot cheaper

I could never afford such luxury when I was in college. Maybe the part time jobs are paying better now days.

I'm still kind of scetchy about them. I appreciate the info though. I may have to wait till next year....

I have killed 6 deer with the illumancok. I really like them and your arrow should fly fine. The only problem I had is that they cost $30 a pack. It makes bow hunting easier because u can deffinately tell where your arrow hits. I might give the homemade ones a try.

I just watched the vid. That's nice. How true are your arrows shooting?

I have used the Illumenoks for a couple of years now and have not experienced any problems out of them. I shot a doe and didn't get a complete pass through on her and watched the Illumenok go bounce up through the woods, walked right up to where she was laying b/c of the of the Noc. Pretty cool experience.

Kind of want to try the Easton Tracers. They sa they blink and are a whole lot easier to spot than the Illumenoks.

I had a similar experience. I shot a doe at 10 yards from the stand, it went thru behind the left shoulder and came out and stuck in the rear right leg. It was right at first light, cool to see that sucker light up.

I tried to make one but failed at the supper glue part. I think I may have got too much glue on it. I put very little on it but it may have still been too much. Is there any other advice that may help me. I'll try a couple more......

I've been using them about 3 years and love em. My old eyes can't follow the arrow as fast as they fly now a days, especially in low light conditions.

Used the luminoks a couple of years ago. It lit up as advertised on the shot but as soon as it passed thru the deer it went out. Guess the little wires hung up just enough on the hide, etc to disengage it.

Switched to the tracers last year. No problem on all three deer. Stayed lit even after pass thru.

BUT just today I pulled them out and tried to turn them back on and ALL 4 of them were DEAD. I only used 2 of them last year, I tried all of them to make sure they work when I first bought them and then put 2 of them back into sleep mode. Needless to say I was highly disapointed about the battery life.

I found some replacement batteries from firenock that I'm going to replace them with. I hate to lose that $20.

I use the lighted nocks because I love the fact that I can. 1)see where my impact location was in low light 2)find my arrow quickly to determine whether I need to wait before trying to recover the deer.
