Ok, all y’all have changed my mind now. I’m headed to the store to buy an automatic feeder and a pallet of rack attack.
However, I have a feeling killing a deer over it is going to feel as if I aced an exam by looking over my neighbors shoulder.
I am surprised that some of y’all don’t feel the same. Or perhaps, y’all do but are afraid to be attacked like I have been.

It’s best to have your Mary J patch between the bedding areas and the corn pile. Makes them hungry so they eat longer on the corn pile. If you ain’t hunting, well then the herd can get another nibble of “grass” on the way back through to snooze.

You don’t have to hunt if you don’t like it. I’d suggest doing something that makes you happy. Turkey hunting may be the last pure hunting sport.

Sounds like you got sand in your vagina. I worked my ass off on my property this year, have some great looking food plots...and I've been laying the corn to them, buffet all you can eat come and get it. I don't expect that a giant buck is gonna get shot with a mouth full of corn, but I can guarantee you there will be plenty of ladies around for him when he's on the prowl.

Turkey hunting may be the last pure hunting sport.
Wildlife photography hasn't been corrupted yet. I look for game cameras to eventually be the excuse for that to happen though.

True story, we saw 14 deer sat morning and 2 went to a feeder, the other 12 went straight from acorns to bedding. Best acorn year I might have ever seen here. Swamp chestnut oaks, white oaks, post oaks, over cups, and water and red are all dropping.

If I get to see 4 or 5 on a hunt here I've seen a pile of deer. Maybe I need more corn...  Danged millennials.

I’m not ‘fishing’ at all. I don’t like the hunting over bait. I’ll get over it eventually. Perhaps sooner rather than later. Maybe.
I don’t really want my sons first kill to be nose down on a corn pile. It just doesn’t seem right for it to be that way. To each their own.
