I have a tripod that I ordered last year from Hog Saddle. It is very heavy duty and I am pleased with how it performs. I harvested a big doe at 380 yards off it last year, which is my furthest deer to date. . I have recently seen the BOG Pod and ALMOST wish I had looked at it before I spent a big chunk of $ on mine. It is much lighter than what I have, which I would think a plus if you have to carry it far to your stand. On the flip side, I like the fact that mine is fairly heavy. I just feel it is a more solid platform and more stable (I even hang a bag under mine for added stability) However I do like the clamp that comes on the BOG Pod and the whole unit looks to be well designed.
