That defense that was on the field tonight for Bama was the worst I've seen since Saban arrived. No tackling, no intensity, very little pass rush, and it seemed like LSU gained 3-5 extra yards every play by falling forward because our defense wasn't tough enough to wrap up and take them down immediately.

My perception of Bama is the same as it's been all year: Tua and those WR's cover up a lot of deficiencies, but our defense and special teams is garbage. And it caught up with us tonight. Those turnovers that led to scores by LSU were most definitely on Tua. You can't keep putting your defense on the field with its back against the wall against that type of offense and expect them to get stops over and over. If Tua doesn't throw the inexcusable interception and drop the ball, for an unknown reason in the wide open, we are in that game. For some reason, Tua, still makes a boneheaded throw into 5 opposing players at the worse moment. He did it against Tennessee. Saban put trust in Tua and he let the team down with a poor decision. He walked around after the game cheesing it up with the LSU players. He looked way to happy to of lost a ball game.

IMO, I wouldn't doubt if he sits out the next game and starts getting his ankle "ready" for the NFl draft. Alabama likely wont get into the playoffs without a miracle. So I don't see Tua risking millions for some meaningless bowl game.

All in all we got beat by a team that was better than us last night. It didn't help that Alabama played the worst half of football that they've played in 10 years, but they showed up not ready for the moment and the moment owned them.[/quote]

Tua dropped the ball. No one touched him. He is great at most times, but that was on him. Yes, our defense was fresh at that point, but so was the most prolific offense in the nation.

We wouldn't have made it back into the game without the performance he put together in the second half, but his first half was BAD...and there's no way around it.

And don't forget that Vandy put up 38 on LSU's defense so Bama's offense not all that either.

It's the first time since 1936 that Bama score 40+ in a game and lost. No way you should lose a game if your offense scores 40.

That's true, but we could have scored 60 without Tua's mistakes and or at least limited LSU to 30. It was a total team loss, though.

This team has amazing potential, just as last years team, and it's a shame that we've watched them squander the biggest 2 games they've played over the last year. They haven't played a game up to their potential yet against a high quality opponent.

Tua did make a mistake or 2. The defense made even more. Joe is much improved from last year. LSU is/was the better team. There is no excuse for a Saban coached defense playing that bad.

I’ve learned a lot from their pain and misery over the years

1. Wasn't a hail mary
2. Bama has a few NOT's this year
3. I feel like LSU is lucky that Bama shot themselves in the foot
4. a five point game in a slug fest
5. all that said LSU was the better team by five points today.

Bama had the worst 3.5 minutes you could ask for just before halftime. Other than that, they were a pretty even matchup with LSU. Neither team had a defense. Bama just made more mistakes than LSU did and LSU took advantage of the mistakes we made

I agree. Not considering the other odd results of the game, that few minutes made the difference in this game. Not Coach O's scheming, or motivation, or halftime speech or whatever, just Bama's mistakes. All hail Coach O the next successor to the greatest CFB coach of all time. Give me a phucking break. He coached a big win that Burrow won (who fell in his lap). Holler at me when he has a dynasty.
