Now we're talking!
I've missed a couple critters as well (armadillo and a snake). But I gotta relay the chicken story.
This dang chicken shows up in my back yard and sets up shop. No big deal till it starts trying to get the dogs food. EVERYDAY, between 4 and 5am, the dogs would go nuts...chicken right outside the pen. Well, the neighbor was a LEO and I asked about 1 22 ratshot round. He replied NO, so out came the bow. Now, I hadn't killed anything at that time but a lot of targets and I had a keller pendelum sight on it. Never shot off the ground with it. I wasted 3/4 arras before connecting one day. I went out, retrieved the bird, turned to see the wife standing in the door, held the chicken up pounded my chest and proclaimed in my best elmer fudd voice "I killed the chicken". Looked to my right and standing there were my neighbors two daughters with terrified looks on their face sqauling to no end. I felt about .25" tall...but slept late the next morning!
