There’s a Ruger Hawkeye chambered in .280AI on GB I’ve had my eye on. Order a McMillan Hunter’s Edge stock and a Timney trigger and you’d have less in it than anything on your list other than the Kimber Hunter. A hunters edge will run around $550 and has at least a 6 month delivery time. Yup, pretty much SOP with McMillan...he never said he was in a rush and he could still use the rifle while he was waiting on the McMillan. Just tossing out another option out there that wasn’t the same old boring factory offerings. I’ll bow out of this conversation now, good luck on your rifle search Barrett, hope you find what your looking for bud.  I just have my wood stock rifles glass bedded. My Hawkeye 257 Roberts is bedded completely around the action and barrel channel. No worries about POI shift or weather affecting it.
