My son has a six month old puppy. It is a good pup, very sweet but does have a good bit of puppy energy. Long walks, playing and chasing kids work well. The one we got is very smart and took to crate training and potty and basic training easily, the kids love her and she loves them back. She is laying at the foot of my boys bed sleeping just waiting on him.

I’m hoping that will not be a problem since we walk our other dog daily and our three kids to run him around. Hopefully that will keep him work out.

just don't know why some folks want to play with mother nature and breed a golden with something else. I think they are the best breed IMO.

I read this a month or so ago. You might want to let your wife read it:

The part about Vladimir Putin and the cloned Belgian Malinois Super Dogs is certainly interesting. I just sounds like something an evil dictator would do.

I have one, best dog I’ve ever owned. We sent her to obedience school at 7 months and it was money well spent. She’s 8 years old now and I can still take her places “off leash” without worrying. We live in a new neighborhood with lots of kids and have several young girls that will knock on the door just to ask to play with her.

My mom has one and she has had two litters, so I’ve been around a good bit of them. They are fantastic family dogs. They love people, and a great temper, but they are as dumb as a frickin rock. I mean seriously.

That’s an interesting article and I would have to agree with it.

Article lost me when the 2 Mals couldn’t learn commands in Russian since they understood Korean.

All dog breeds started as a cross of other breeds. I only know one Golden Doodle. He’s laid back but kinda goofy.

Designer dogs are about what is in vogue at the time

My understanding is that every single dog out there from a Great Dane to a Teacup Chihuahua was bred from wolves.

Cleckler and SBS, I figured they would be smart dogs since retrievers and poodles are considered some of the intelligent breeds. Honestly as long as they good with kids I’m good with it. We got a male and plan to have him fixed so we want breed him. He took right my 6y/o boxer however she wasn’t thrilled lol.

One would think that, but it’s quite the opposite. Like I said, they’re fantastic family dogs and will love other dogs and kids.

I have one that’s 5 months old. Smartest dog I have ever had. Rings a bell on the door when she needs to go out. Already have her trained to find sheds and the best part is VERY MINIMAL SHEDDING. High energy but great with kids and other dogs. Rides great in the car and crate trained. She goes in her crate voluntarily about 10pm and doesn’t make a sound til about 6am. Loves water and absolutely lives to retrieve.
