I’m still trying to figure out how the wind blew that purple primer. That just seems odd to me Me too. Makes no sense at all to me. Clay bar. Close the thread. My white Toyota 4Runner got yellow paint ALL OVER IT, at the airport parking garage. $22.00 for a kit and about an hour of work and it was clean. If it’s ON the paint you’re absolutely right. I got black overspray off a brand new Kenworth truck hood with that. If it’s IN the paint it won’t help but it is most definitely worth a shot
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

It will probably have to be sanded and buffed. That stuff etches into plastic so the PVC glue has something to grip. It will do the same on a cars clear coat. Even if the purple comes off there will most likely be a ring where it was. Clay bar won't get out the etched clear. Only sanding and buffing if it's etched in the clear. A real sand and buff job ( especially if it's black or a dark color) will be 2-3 hundred bucks. If buffing won't get it out, then yeah... new paint and lot's of dollars.

That sucks. I'll be keeping an eye out for the "Advice on starting a new job" thread soon...
Hopefully something works out... Not sure why someone would drive a brand new Audi to what sounds like a construction site of some sort. Like driving up in a 90k F250 on a job site and complaining because you got mud on your truck...

I’m still trying to figure out how the wind blew that purple primer. That just seems odd to me My guess is that the car was parked very close to the job, as in right under the work being done. Either way, it sucks and I would bet it’s best to just eat the insurance deductible and let insurance fix it right. Someone driving an Audi isn’t gonna be happy with any remedies we come up with other than an actual repair that has expense tied to it.

This makes under the building a parking lot. The plumbing is run under the building's first floor which puts it above the cars. Nobody said it was a construction site.

Why drive that anywhere near work.

There is actually a very simple solution to this problem; paint the whole car with purple primer. Bam, no more spots.
