If you find a decent deal on some Irish Setter Vapertrek I'd buy them. Wear like tennis shoes and i'm on my 3rd year with the same pair. I wear them all Turkey season and most of deer season and they are still in great shape and waterproof.

a buddy of mine got a pair at Academy - he said they wore good ... may not last as long as the other brand names, but they were very affordable ... my last lace-up pair was Chippewa's & they lasted a very long time; not the most comfortable nor lightweight, but they were battle axes

Mine are just as comfortable as tennis shoes and have held up great. They are a little pricey, but they are worth the money.

Do any of these companies make boots like 4E 12 1/2 size? Having trouble finding some.

I'm sure somebody does, but will possibly be a custom build company so $$$. possibly a Thorougood, Russel, ect that make a wide size selection of outdoor work boots.

Irish setter here too. Waterproofing didn’t last but a few seasons but they are so comfortable I will buy again.

Brown Truck just brought a pair of Danner Pronghorns. A Little stiff in the ankle, but plenty big/wide @ 14EE. We'll see. These are both zip and lace up. I don't see a 300$ boot here, glad I caught them on sale for 173$. Still too much IMO.

why Lace up?? I have the zipper pair from Academy. Don’t actually even use the zipper. Just slip em on. They are surprisingly very comfy. Bought them before last summer and I beat the stew out of them. They are my work boots for the farm and camp. I have walked several miles at a time in these. They are about toasted now but for $89 I got a lot out of them and now know that I like knee high snake boots. I’ll spring for a nice long lasting pair next. I won’t get lace up though. Too much work.
