to rid the problem area (Kurds) has begun. I guess we are about to be pulled into that chit civil war now. I know Trump will protect our people still there and probably the Kurds too. The hawks in the Pentagon will be happy. It's never their asses in harms way.

Now the Russians can say see America is going to leave you high and dry when the going gets tough just like last time and the time before that.
Kurds getting their asses handed to them right now on TV. It’s terrible.

who cares either way we cant stay there indefinitely and be their security force. If the other NATO countries in Europe are so worried about it and some ISIS recruits being released and coming home tell them to send in some of their guys. why do we always have to be the mediator in every conflict in the world.

Who cares either way?
They were our best ally in the region. They lost over 10k fighting ISIS because we asked them to. And we promised them - guaranteed them - we wouldn't let Turkey come in there and curb stomp them.
Some ISIS recruits? Like 10k of them, Turkey hates the US and will release those ISIS fighters back to the front lines.
In a few years, when we go back over there on the next mess the politicians get us into, some Kurdish kid whose family got whacked because we lied to them will be planting bombs in the road and shooting at us - we'll call them terrorists and a bunch of @ssholes.

We trained and armed Al Qaeda against the Russians in the 80s look where that got us. You never trust a Muslim. The Kurds hate us as much as any other Muslim terrorist group it just happens to be beneficial for them at the time to be our ally how long you think it takes for that to change?

If we fail to act not only are we not helping an ally, but we will be allowing the genocide of a race of people that were our allies. There won't be any kids left to plant bombs from the Kurdish race. What needs to happen but it won't as long as Turkey is in NATO is for the Kurds to have their own country carved from part of Turkey and Iraq.
