Google earth recently updated the imagery at our property. We recently had about 70 acres clear cut and with the new imagery I noticed I can see the deer trails in the cut. Anyway thought this was useful info and thought I would share in case anyone else has a similar situation.

That is cool. Pretty handy scouting tool if you are looking to set up a new shooting house.

Interesting.

I may be wrong, because I am often wrong, but I would expect those to be old cattle trails, not deer trails. Deer may use the same trails, but I wouldn't think that deer would trample down the ground enough to see such a trail.

Not one bit.The best spot on my property I found by watching deer cross a new clearcut for about 2 years.

I think the expanded view shows a little clearer why they are coming to that spot .Arrow is the trail, yellow star is existing shooting house.Eight acres of summer plots in ne corner of pic.

Given our recent weather pattern. Those trails are probably leading to water and every animal within 20 miles is linning up to get there.
