I have never been in one that wasn't a ghost town, even before the whole gun debacle.
Truth. There's one in Oxford about 5 mins from my house, I go in there occasionally to get something fishing-related, and I'm always the ONLY person in the store. This particular location has seemingly transitioned more and more of their space & inventory to baseball/softball, it's like half the friggin' store is just baseball crap. You can tell something is going sour, their fishing & hunting section has decrease substantially, they never seem to get new stock either. I used to get my Seaguar fluorocarbon in there because they were WAY cheaper than anybody else in town.... they ran out of it months ago and never have refilled the empty space, still just have empty pegs there. About a year ago they had a crap-ton of expensive, high-end fishing rods... I caught them on sale for like 50-65% off and they never have replaced any of that stuff.
