The first time I met Gerald was when I bought a new 2005 Yamaha Roadstar from his shop. I hadn't ridden a motorcycle since I was 16 years old so the deal was I would buy the bike and someone would ride it to my house for me.

I didn't want to pull out onto Highway 75 since it had been so long since I had ridden a motorcycle. Gerald rode it to my house dressed in his blue mechanics shirt and pants with grease on his arms and under his fingernails. He got in my truck and as I was taking him back to the shop, I ask him if he was the head mechanic there. He said I guess you could say that and I own the place.

Gerald was a good man and a hard worker. I used to hang out with him at the shop and I've seen him do everything from selling motorcycles and 4-wheelers to cleaning the bathrooms. He did it all! He will surely be missed.
