If it is legal for the city to ticket you for the violation and you were actually speeding, then you are just being a whiny a##. Pay the ticket and move on. And as far as it being "ethical", is it ethical for an officer to give someone a pass because they did the officer a favor? For example, some kid who found the officer stuck in the sand while accompanied by someone other than his wife gets to disregard the speed limit because he pulled the officer out and didnt call the officers wife while the same officer writes you a ticket every time you go through his radar ten miles over the limit.
