Manidra doesn’t have a DEF or DPF or any F for that matter. They developed their own system to get compliant. It is basically a catalytic converter that super heats the exhaust do meet emissions standards. There is no filter to change and no fluid. No regeneration cycle.

I bought a used Kubota L3200, I used it for roughly 6 years with no mechanical issues, when we moved I sold it for than I initially paid for it. It was an excellent tractor.

I thought the same thing before I started using ours. 42" PTO driven tiller, post hole auger, rock rake, belly mower, FEL, forks, chain harrow, and I will add a disc harrow next spring. I cleared our orchard with it, and it was taller than the roll bar on the tractor with brush, weeds, milkweeds, and saplings about 2-3" thick.

Same as our side by side. Once we got it, I wonder how we ever got along without one.

The local farmers Co-op started selling Mahindra tractors at the first of the year. They’re in the process of stoping that. Too many problems with them and crappy warranty service

Havent read every post, and errone has an opinion. But i’ll say i’ve tried to destroy my little 1610 yanmar, and i’m not sure its possible? That being said, not sure you can go wrong with just about anyof them.

All the DPF filters have a catalytic converter built in (well, Kubota and John Deere do). What Mahindra did to get there NOx and PM numbers within spec was to run a MUCH HOTTER temperature in the combustion chamber. The pistons, rings, cylinders and valves will likely have a reduced life span due to that.

That's what the propaganda masters at the other tractor companies tell me at any rate. Obviously a Regen exhaust system is more complicated and more expensive than the way Mahindra does it. If it was just as good, everyone else would follow their lead. Mahindra is to be lauded for the 7 year warranty they offer but you need to realize that Kubota and John Deere both have a 5 year Emissions warranty, which covers the DPF filter, fuel injectors, turbocharger and many other parts. They both also have a 6 year total powertrain (engine, transmission, rear end) warranty standard.

What Mahindra likely counts on is that the average buyer puts 100 hours a year on a tractor. Therefore the components should last well beyond that.

And that's why I would buy Mahindra if new. My little Ford 1720 4x4 still gets it done BUT no loader which I need.

I have most recently owned a Kubota L3430 and a John Deere 3038e. I liked them both equally as well. I never had trouble with either one.

We have a 1720 to and that is a smooth little tractor.

This I dont currently own and tractor and probably wont for a long time but the last tractor I "bought" for the facility I took care of I seen first hand what these will do against the competitors.It is a lot of bang for your buck.

Under 50hp kuboter. Over 50hp Kubota or Deere. Easy!

Your best bargain, regardless of the brand you choose, is the used tractors built prior to idiotic EPA rules.

If you want something that looks new, check with Fredrick's up in Decatur. They bring in Yanmars made around 1980 and completely rebuild them. You have what is essentially a new tractor with 1980 technology, and that means not only do you have none of that epa stuff, but it doesn't have a computer on it either. And they are very cheap compared to a new tractor. I've been very happy with mine.

Please stay away from any new tractors with the def fluid engines or regen engines. Everything new will have it or some sort of version of it. I have a kabota 38/40 that I got for 12k. 1600hrs. 4x4 with loader .Best investment I ever made. I use mine with mowing deck,6 fr bushog, blade driveway an have a garden every year.has the hst transmission. Easy to operate. Any brand of this size tractor would be good to use around house.Company I work for sells mahindra an they are a good tractor with a good warranty an have some good deals on a package with trailer bushog or whatever implement you want if you have to get a new tractor.But the new one have the Obama crap emission on them. I know they don’t have many problems so far but it is a new system. So if u have heart set on new mahindra call oakley equipment in Florence. They sell lots of them an do the service if need be.

I looked at at Branson 2400 HST yesterday. It's a nice tractor made in South Korea and assembled in Rome, Ga. They had a demo model with 5 hours on it and a 2 year warranty. you can get an nice excavator for it, but this deal came with a front end loader and a rear finish mower. $13,500 delivered to the cabin.

They had a package deal on new ones with a front end loader, bush hog, box blade and tandem axle trailer for $15,995.

They have a dealership in Rome and in Leesburg.

I called the Mahindra dealer in Centre and in order to get pricing anywhere near that I had to drop down to a 19hp tractor and it was still $14,900 for the FEL and finish mower. They wanted 5.9% financing. Oh and by the way, everyone talking about the Mahindra 7 year warranty... That's only a power train warranty. The reat of the machine is only 2 years.

We have no problems with any of those new mufflers or def machines.

Parts could be a problem one day but who knows
You can get everything over the net now. Finding someone to work on it is another thing

I would stay away from an off brand tractor, I know people who have gotten great deals on one and then a few years later couldn’t get parts.

Mahindra 4540 is a good deal, Beshears Kubota L2501 is a great deal....Looking at the Branson, Its probably the same as a LS and a Kioti. If that's what you want get it. I didn't buy my Mahindra Max 24 with intentions of resell. Resell is overrated. Get the most tractor for the least money you can....That being said I wish I'd had the cash to buy a used Kubota L2501 package from someone.

A lot of people still consider Mahindra an off brand tractor. Therere are dealers around here, but a lot of them have come and gone over the years. I personally don’t think Mahindra is going anywhere and parts and service will be available, but it seems like dealers have a hard time getting established.

The closest place that sold Mahindra here, no longer sells them, and has since sold Koti (sp?)., Branson, and now Yanmar.
