I posted this on Buck limits, on serious deer talk, but what do all you think about rifle season beein just one month, or a couple weeks. Now I know alot of people bow hunt all year, but for me durring bow season I see lots of deer, and lots of bucks, and it takes about one week of all my neighbors shootin the worl up for the deer I was seein all season to go nocternal. I belive that deer hunting would bee alot better if rifle season was only in during the month of January. twocents

I think you are being selfish. The world doesn't revolve around folks who want to bowhunt only.

In fact, let's eliminate gun season and go bow only. wink

I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

I would be for it if there was a biologically sound basis for doing it. I agree with you that with the onset of rifle season the hunting gets harder, but that is the nature of the hunt. Just bear it, dig in, and hunt harder.

I'm bow-only and keep the season like it is. Compared to other states, Alabama bowhunters are blessed beyond imagine with public land to bowhunt. The reason is gun days are limited. Other states get hammered with gun hunters day-after-day. Besides, most gun-hunters get in areas for plenty of visibility. I'd rather just concentrate on one or two trails of thick schitt.

You just need to be where the gun hunters are not and where the deer want to be.
