Privacy is gone and no one seems to care, for now. Someday we’ll all remember why, but it’ll be too late.

Watched a majority of a liberal movie tonight. "The Great Hack". They blamed a GB company for Trump's success. Part of me is like BS. Too many of us were fed up. But part of me was like maybe we were convinced by social media to think a certain way. I'd like to think it was more of the later. Libs were late to the party.

Ain't just the government but also every big tech company, Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon etc. I believe they're all spying on us for personal gain. Big money in data and they're all collecting and selling it. We're so hooked on these fancy gizmos (phones, computers, Alexa etc) that we readily give up our privacy knowing we're being watched and listened to.

They say Alexa isn't really listening, but about a month ago a man was beating a woman in a house with one and it called the Sheriffs Deputy. JB they stopped listening to you house because the operators couldn't stop laughing, and they sent you that apron because you run everything in your house, dishwasher, vacuum, washing machine, iron.

My sister and brother in law were given one by their kids. They swear it starts talking in the middle of the night. It woke them up one time and they said it was laughing,

The government can learn way more about you through key logging and what sites you visit than conversations in your home. My BIL (retired Navy Commander) works in cyber security now. He’s changed some settings on out google minis and other devices in the house to make them “safe”. I have 4 in the house but all on switches. Want to listen to music or need a timer, just flip the switch. All of mine are mounted in recessed lighting. They work great as built in home audio . We use these. https://www.amazon.com/Dock-Socket-Light-Mount-Google/dp/B07C687FP9

Just got me one of these Alexa machines. Kind of nice to just say what music I want to hear and she plays it. Any of yall got one? I won one at a trade show but haven't used it not knowing who's listening in. Someone I know has one and was talking about Ford trucks in front of Alexa and an ad for Ford suddenly popped up on his phone. Other stories of folks talking about dog food and Alexa ordered it on Amazon. I don't trust turning them on but it sure looks nice on the shelf.

Hello to the NSA in your home.
Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.
Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.
Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

I don't have any use for those devices in my house. But if you're concerned about spying, you should dump the smartphone. Those are far more dangerous than Alexa.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.
