I once hit a golf ball at 1,543 yards with my Creedmoor. Blindfolded.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I played a few weeks ago and watched a 65 year old man hit it 270 all day off the tee. Another guy in our group hit it 300-330 all day. Both these guys will take every dollar in your pocket if you bet em. I don’t play with em often cause they are way better than me and I don’t enjoy losing money. We had 5 guys that day. Scores were 68,69,70,70,and 81. Me being the 81. There are a lot of great golfers who aren’t on tour.

The guy hitting it over 300 also shot a 68 at grand national the week before the Barbasol tournament 2 years ago. I was there to see it. There are guys all over that are hustlers on the course and would take money off quite a few guys on tour.

Well apparently that's impossible. The powers that be on here can only hit around 280 so that must be the human maximum.

Most don’t realize how much money can be made hustling on a golf course either.

I probably only hit one over 100 but it went 325 yards, it did inspire me to buy a used driver to see what I could do without the house driver. never used it. the place on governers closed down and I never went again

I can hit a golf ball over 300 but I probably average about 260. If I took my best shots of when I really square one up and put a good swing on it I would average about 300 but that’s not how it works and that’s what a lot of people do. Rory mcllroy averages like 290 and has been the best golfer of the last 5 years or whatever. Nobody average person can drive like him

And here lately I’m lying saying 260 I’ve been so bad with my driver. Probably actually closer to 240-250

Just because the tour averages just over 300, doesn’t mean there aren’t thousands of people in the real world who can’t do it too. There are plenty of people who can shoot higher 3pt percentages during pickup games than NBA players do in games, but that doesn’t mean they’re lying. It just means that there is one aspect of their game that they are good at (in an amateur setting), but the other aspects obviously don’t line up with processionals.

The argument about PGA players driving distance is flawed. Their driving is not what sets them apart. One of my cousins that I usually play golf with is a big dude and he can consistently drive 300+..........he considers it a "great day" if he can shoot in the low 90's.

What does set them apart from the average joe golfer is their consistency, their ability to draw or fade on command, their ability to not just hit a green but hit the part of the green they want, and their ability to read a green when putting.

I hit one with a flail mower one time. When it finally came out from under there, I’d guess it went pretty close to 400 yds . Now... subtract the 20% exaggeration, it probably really went around 360 to 375 yds. It made a hell of a noise for about 3 seconds & had me questioning if that tractor seat was a safe place to be.

I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.
