Beer Belly Freak of Nature B Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,045 Likes: 92 Tampa	Took my stepson to driving range this afternoon. He can hit it close to 200yrds with ONE hand. He hit the first one pretty good, I was really surprise cause that is hard to do, and told him to do it again and let me video it. He hit ~4 in a row, 175-200yards. Back in the day I had (still have them) some Ping Eye 2 clubs with the real persimmon wood driver and 3 wood, tour sized not this oversized monsters of today. I could hit the 3 wood 260-285 consistently. I could knock on 300 200 with the driver if I ever hit it straight....could not hit that club worth nothing... Edit...typo on driver distance. 200 was my best with my driver. More loft and backspin with 3 wood helped with distance greatly. Last edited by straycat; 07/21/19 09:01 PM. I'm a leftie. It would go around 200 yards straight down the middle, then take a sharp slice to the left, cross 2-3 more fairways, going another 200 yards.
