i shoot out of a local proshop and we got the new mathews monster in on friday....
when i saw it i said look like a PSE... when i shot it and studied the way it was built and the way the yolk system was designed.. i quickly saw the differences
the heaviest arrow i had laying around the shop was an OLD 2312 that wieghed 502 grains....
on 63 pounds with a 29 inch draw she blasted away at 292 FPS.... i dropped down and shot my hunting arrow thru the bow same pounds and it shot 340 FPS..
has anyone else shot the bow ... i no the factory are just now getting them out and not a lot of people have laid eyes and hands on them yet?

Seen one last week,it does look very similar to a PSE except the yoke system. Helps keep the timing better I think.

Shooting that fast seems like it would be hard to control. Especially with the short brace height. I'd still like to shoot one though. 340 fps!!! That's amazing for a compound. Any idea as to how much it will cost?

There's supposed to be a faster one with a shorter brace height. I imagine it to be no different than the overdraws of years past.

yes there is a FASTER version..... it is the monster XLR-8 BUT it has a 5 inch brace hieght... the monster has a 6 inch

we rigged the shop bow up today and i have to say i thought as you did that it would be hard to control and be accurate 30yds+.... you can tell how "flinchy" you are but easlily kept it in a 5-spot.....perfect for hunting
