$900 OBO ... LOCAL PICKUP IN SAMANTHA AL ONLY - CASH IN HAND

Ready for this motor to become somebody else's "project" ... When I first got my G3 1448 in 2016, this motor ran like a scalded dog - clocked it w/2 people onboard running 30mph on Lake Tuscaloosa ... and it ran all year long in 2016 ... In 2017, it wouldn't run right; the motor cranks fine (or it did) but shuts off completely in the water, under load ... I've replaced plugs, done a carb clean, replaced the fuel pump, added a filter, blah blah blah blah blah -- and it ran like a champ on muffs/in a tank ... Under load at the lake, it would run like it always did & then about 2-3 minutes WOT, it just shuts off completely - cannot crank it back up ... After letting it rest, I could go out the next morning & it'd crank right up ...

This motor comes with new hoses, bulb & a new fuel tank (plastic, vented) -- as well as the old original Nissan metal tank, if that is of interest to you ... We stopped using the old tank, thinking that might be the issue w/the motor ...

PM me if you're interested - thx!

I had a tohatsu that acted similar (but different). mine was just getting hot I determined, if you came to a stop, and let it run for a little while before cutting off, it was fine, but if you cut it off immediately it got hot and took a while to crank back up.

super annoying

Sounds like your coil or plug wire is getting hot and going to ground, ohm check the coil with a multi-meter

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

BGD, sounds like you are at the same place I was about a week ago with my 1992 25hp Evinrude, so I decided to fix the problem...... I went a purchased a new 25hp Yamaha 4stroke w/ electric start. Now going to the river is a pleasure not a hassle, been twice since Friday. It's a great feeling to know the motor will crank every time I press Start !!
