Was fishing jettys about 15 years ago. An approximate 35 foot brand new looking center console was hard anchored with tide going out. A six pac trip boat came back and its wake slipped over the centerconsoles stern. Anchor kept the backend from floating above the wake. DANG boat sunk in 10 seconds max. We pulled fisherman out who only had time to float with a cooler.
Anyone that's stupid enough to anchor, tied off to the stern of the boat - in the Gulf- is lucky that's the only bad thing that happened to them.
