Well how about this? I’m a lifetime license holder. I hunt my own private land. My father is on the deed and is old enough not to have a license. My son is 10 and is not required to have a license. So if we want to bait, do we need one permit? 3 permits? I think the whole thing is a crock of crap! I have killed a ton of deer in my life by the letter of the law. I will continue to do so. All the law does is give the ability for a legal hunter to get on even keel with the outlaw hunter. Maybe next year you will be able to get a $20 permit that lets you hunt from a public road at night. When you play a sport you have rules. If you don’t follow the rules and get caught, there are consequences. Like it or not, the rules of hunting have changed in the state of Alabama for deer hunting. Either follow them, or be an outlaw. I just want the state to clear up all of the gray area, that’s what frustrates me.
Good points. It will be interesting to see about the kids and the landowners, as well as lifetime license holders. You spent that $500 for the right to never have to spend money to hunt again. That includes lifetime hunting "privileges", so it should be interesting to see how that unfolds.
Out of you 3, there's a legitimate argument that none of you should have to pay to hunt over corn.
