I just pulled up to the gate. It should be a fine morning! Good luck.

After checking my camera, I've been hunting the wrong field in the afternoon. Gobblers grouped up

First listening spot resulted in an owl party. No gobbles. Moved to a second spot and heard one gobble in the tree twice and once on the ground. He was in an area that you cannot get to without spooking the bird. Heard one more, off the property. Moved to spot #3 and struck out.
Next windy or rainy morning, I am going to get in the honey hole in darkness and try my luck.

Got #5 early this morning; he had one of the thickest beards I've ever seen. Only gobbled once in the tree, and I wasn't really sure where he was. I set up and called with the rivercane and got no response. 30 minutes later he gobbled about 60 yds away, and then 5 more times one right after the other. I didn't say a thing back; I thought he was too interested to walk away. A few moments later I tapped that old head at 25 yards. I had a good season. Didn't have many turkeys at the farm, so I had to branch out and wound up killing turkeys in 3 counties. Good luck to all ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/kG0SzmFq/IMG-20190410-065014.jpg)
