So y'all can have a laugh at my expense: ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/XT4bLRz.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/HeGFMGI.jpg) If that is stuck, you need to quit bragging about how good those tires are.

Back in the day we would run the old spur grips or the uniroyal Laredos. There was many times we would puddle the soybean fields after a rain to get the water out the holes. I remember going thru a bad hole so hard one time the old bag cellular phone bounced from the center hump on the floor onto the seat. Them old ford trucks would go back then. Bought a 93 dodge half ton short wheel base with the 360 brand new off the lot and put the Laredos on it. Put 2 new transmissions in it the first year I had it. If you could keep the trans working that thing would go. We don't plant beans no more and my old farm truck is a 2wd dodge with the cummins. But if I need to get to equipment out in the field I fire up the old Nissan 4x4 and go. You have to work hard to stick a 4x4 if you know how to handle one. I'm glad I grew up I am not so hard on stuff anymore.
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.

That sucks man. Bad feeling.
BTW I notice your left tires look like glazed donuts and the right ones are clean. I assume you don’t have true locking on either front or rear? I imagine what happened here is just not having the tires for it, but I know when I lock my rear (Nissan Frontier) it’s like a whole nother truck!

You’re right, it doesn’t look like the differential is locked. I can’t imagine an F150 with 4wd wouldn’t have that.

It probably has to do with the fact the right tires are free spinning in water, (the back one at least) and the left are still in mud. Water does a pretty good job of cleaning stuff.

I didn't have the rear locked until it was too late. The right side tires weren't touching the bottom of the rut at all, they were literally just spinning in water, which is why they're so cleaned out (and why the truck isnt muddier than it is.) The truck was sitting on the axles front and rear so once it came to a stop, that was that. Having a true mud tire might've helped, but it's a failed driver that spends 95% of the time on pavement, so it has ATs, not MTs.
