Heard my 1st gobbles of the year neither bird wanted anything to do with me but i know they are there and hopefully be able to get back on them in the next couple days

He had 2 beards. Didn’t notice it til I was cleaning him. At first I thought his beard was just split but there was definite separation between them. I was a bit skeptical at first just because I’ve never killed a double beard.

Well goofed this morning had him dead to rights seen his fan over the rise he was moving to the right turkey popped up so i eased the gunover and got picked off by an unseen hen so aggravating to be so close and mess it up so quickly

Bad luck for sure but it sounds like your on them. You'll get another chance. Hopefully I can get on something this weekend. Sure didn't plan on having to work this much during the season.

Yeah it has been a good season so far for me on seeing birds they are finally starting to do some talking hopefully can make it out in the morning before work calls

Got #2 this morning. Almost didn't go because of the weather but talked myself into it. Not as big a bird as the last one but it'll do. Congrats! I called up a group of 4 longbeards in front of my brother never got in a spot I could shoot he never shot. After they went on their way I asked why he didn’t shoot he said they were too far. He misjudged the yardage they were right at 50 yards a very capable shot
