My usual stomping grounds doesn’t open until next weekend, so I’ve been in the woods since about 10:30 this morning burning leather in new woods. Found a little bit of sign and a good spot to listen in the morning. Hopefully i’m not covered up in people. Good luck to everyone

Well I went to our family land this morning. Heard 3. Set up on one, with another gobbling in an adjacent field. If it didn’t work out with the bird I was on, I was planning to move to him. Shortly after getting set up I hear someone shoot in that field 3 times. I run over there and two guys jump up and head out into some Rayonier pines that border us. Dumbasses apparently missed luckily. I’m behind the house this afternoon, not much happening so far.

Maybe they’ll be fired up in the morning tbest. I didn’t hear or see a turkey and I hunted all day. Windy, cloudy and cold. Hopefully tomorrow morning will be better

I've hunted every day so far. Opening day was looking good until the poachers ruined it, went yesterday with my father in law and didn't hear a thing, then went behind my house this morning didn't do much good but as I headed out to work I took the long way around the dirt road and found a strutter on the backside of the property. I'm taking the next couple of days off to see what I can do.
