I have bow hunted a long time and have struggled with about every issue in the book on how a shot can go bad. This morning I connected with a doe that only went about 40 yards before piling up. Let me tell you, it was a huge rush. All the gas money, time, effort, and anguish of years of bow hunting came rushing out. I almost couldn't believe it. It felt good to call one of my buddies that knows how long I have hunted for this doe. It has to be the most fulfilling harvest I have ever made, and I have killed many with a smoke pole. Just thought I would share with my favorite internet community.

Congrats!! That thrill you experienced is the reason I hope to be bowhunting for many years to come(I just turned 44). It sure as heck ain't easy but it's extremely satisfying!
