I just got back from Illinois, shot a big ten point monday evening tracked him bout a mile and a half and never found him. Didnt see alot of deer, I hunted right after the gun season, and alot of them said the numbers were down. Anybody else been and had any luck.

I hunted Illinois from Nov. 7th through the 14th. Shot a 150" 10 point. Bucks were chasing does. I saw about 30 different racked bucks and about 6 different shooters (over 140"). It makes it hard to come back to Alabama and hunt.

I hunted johnson county Nov. 11-17...I saw very few deer and no rutting activity... I did see one shooter about 120 yards for a second but that was it for me...the rest were does and little ones.. only saw 12 deer the entire time...but the weather was crummy the whole time i was there....

I didnt hunt till the 24 and hunted through the 29. The guy I hunted with said he saw several good deer the week before I got there. Guess I just had bad timing. This was my first trip and even though it wasnt that great of hunting, I had a great time and will deff. go back next year.

Well I think I am going to try it once more this year! I am planning on giving it a try again the weekend before Christmas (18-21 Dec)!!
