Ummm, I know a guy that uses a #1 buckshot as the last shell in his turkey gun. He said that out of all the birds he has killed there are three that haunt him to this day. One of them is probably PCP’s clover field turkey he wrote about years ago. Those three were crippled up really bad and got away and there is no way they survived. If my friend had TSS or buckshot as his last shell back then maybe those three birds would have had a better fate. All three left with an empty gun in hand. My friend said that the only time he has gotten down to his last shell since using #1 buckshot he had a bird running away dragging a wing fold up at 70 yards in a hayfield. I told him he was illegal in Alabama but he is too hardheaded to listen.
