That's exactly the same attitude the Indians had when the white men came over regarding diseases. STD had never been here... but the white man brought it and other diseases! But I agree... just bc deer are in a pen, doesn't mean they'll get CWD. However...
CWD is not here in Alabama YET. How's CWD transmitted? Look at how it's transmitted and from your knowledge, do pen deer congregate and share fluids and are exposed to other deer's waste and bodily fluids at a MUCH higher rate than free range deer? Penned deer equals a MUCH higher rate of contamination than free range.
The deer farmers don't want to admit it, but it's true.
Alabama is trying to keep the CWD prions out of the state.
