Who all in here is Type 2 and are you actively into a diet that helps? Would you read a book and pass it to others if it were sent to you? I'm not selling anything if that's what y'all are thinking. I ordered 3 copies of a book with intentions of sending 2 copies out and for them to then be sent to other diabetics after they've been read. The name of the book is The End of Diabetes by Joel Fuhrman and comes highly recommended by a pharmacist friend of mine.
I will send the 2 extra books out no later than Saturday.

Even though I'm not diabetic, I'd like to read the book and I'd like for my wife to read it. Her A1C level has been high and she's changed some things in her diet. I've been trying to limit high Glycemic Index foods to lose weight. I'd like to see what the book says. So, I want to be in line for the book, when someone gets finished with one.

I'm a type 2, my mother is a type 2, my only brother is a type 2. Runs in the family unfortunately.
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts,hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Do 50 carbs or less a day. I took my a1c from 8.9 to 5.8. Keep an eye out in the buffet forum occasionally I post some low carb dishes I cook. Sometimes they are even worth eating.

I have it and am hard headed... sadly I dont watch my diet at all.. and take a few different medicines for it.. the wife’s a nurse and gets on to me all the time and I just don’t listen.. I have to do something before it’s to late or I have to have insulin which I can’t afford.. last A1C was almost 14!!! I for sure need to do something about it

Start taking care of it before you lose body parts! Meds will only work so long .

I agree.. I have neuropathy so bad as well... can’t feel half my toes.. no one on either side of the family had diabetes.. it’s just one of those things I reckon.. the killer headaches from being to high make it rough.
