We hunt 1600 acres and have killed around 22 does and 6-7 bucks. The biologist told us we needed to kill every doe we see or shoot for around 35 does.

I only have a 10 acre tract that I hunt every other weekend to keep the pressure down. I normally shoot 4 or 5 good mature bucks off of it a year myself. My brother hunts it the weekends I don't and he shot 4 bucks this year himself. And we continuously have good bucks show up. It's all about location. Our 10 acres borders the Portland Landing SOA in Dallas county. Sounds reasonable. And legal too! 10 mature bucks off 10 acres is about what I'd expect. Killing 40-50 does there should keep the habitat in check. LOL Reckon he game checks all of those deer? I really don’t see the big deal if he does or doesn’t. You mean Other than the fact it is against the law same as spotlighting, trespassing, etc.

I have 200 acres mountain land north bama.
Average a couple does and 3-4 bucks per year....2 Hunters

If you have 40 deer /mile and if you harvest 25% of does (can argue that figure if you want) that is 5 does per 640 acres with a 1:1 buck to doe ratio. Really matters what your survival rates are outside of hunting.

There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??
