Before Vietnam everyone trusted the Government and it was all Apple Pie and Lemonade.. After Vietnam and Nixon... not so much.
It has been a series of events including The Great Society which kind of started the snowball rolling... But to me the biggest impact started beginning with the Warren Court in the 1960's and the Burger Court on the 70's is where the wheels started to really come off this country. That was the period of time we all decided we could legislate through our Court System. And I think by about the early 90's you started to see the real impact of many court rulings including taking prayer out of schools, no longer say the pledge, no flag in the classroom, legalize abortion, and pick 1,000 more issues to get the real scope of what changed. The Courts started taking up a bunch of social issues and cases and ruling on them.... Nearly everyone has been impacted by those rulings. Before this time the court was more focused on the Constitution and it's strict interpretation. Afterwards up until present day... Social Justice Warriors for the liberals. They know they can't legislate their agenda so they have been using the court system to get what they want for nearly 50 years at this point. Appears to have worked very well for them.
This is why is it so important to hold your nose and vote to put conservatives in office. They appoint our justices. Hate Trump all you want but if he get the opportunity to load the Supreme Court he is giving us all a gift that will keep on giving for decades. It is that serious. Think if Hillary had won and had the opportunity to appoint a couple justices we'd all be in serious trouble they would open the border, ban guns.... a whole slew of things.
Serious business. Take note today for 2020.
