I’ve carried a 760 Gamemaster for over 30 years. Shooting 180 grain PSP Coreloks mainly. I’ve taken over 100 deer with it. Only lost 1 because I leg shot it. It’s a good woods and long range gun out to about 300 yards or so, maybe further just never tried.

Either of the two I brought with me.....They all kill'em dead, and I never leave the house with just one.

I am searching for one now. After owning a full size 7600 I am itching for a Carbine.

Great balance and very constant shooting guns.

7mm Rem Mag, 120 Barnes TTSX @ 3450 FPS = bang flop and covers out to 300 yds with no hold over.

You should be able to push those 120s past 3500fps. I’m getting almost 3300 with the 150s. (R22, 64.5g with a COAL of 3.3385)

There is no such thing as a "brush busting boolit". Any projectile you attempt to fire through brush is likely to be deflected and miss and/or partially or even fully mushroomed and depleted of energy if it finds the target. Beyond that, the rifle you choose is personal preference.

3300 FPS is VERY fast for 150 gr bullets in 7mm Remington mag. Do you need two hands to open the bolt. grin

When young and dumb I loaded a 140 7mm mag going over 3400 fps in a Styr Pro-hunter. It turned the crosshairs in my Pentax light seeker.

The Styer never showed any signs of pressure, even though there was a lot of it. I shot the same load out of a Model 70 classic and it blew the primer and the bolt stuck. All guns are not created equally.

I’m loading 74.5grs of re22 with a 24” barrel, no pressure signs and shoots 1/2” 3 shots, really no need for any more though I feel I could get 3500 easily. I don’t go off col length, I measure chamber and seat off the ogive, seating these .060” off the lands at 2.730”.
