I believe the deer just lay up and don’t move when it snows here.

I like hunting in the snow because everything sticks out like a sore thumb.

Hunting and Watching trail cams it seems like the day after a snow results in crazy movement where I see some bruiser bucks that I have never seen before and never saw again. Its almost like they like getting around and seeing all the pretty county.

Quack quack.

I killed two near York last year. First one was late afternoon, 190 lb old 5 came onto a green field at about 4:30 when it was snowing like crazy.

Next afternoon, right at dark, big 7 came out on another green field.

I went one time in the snow. Dang near killed myself getting to the club and had to winch myself out of a ditch two times that morning. Finally got to the club and slogged through that mess to a stand and killed an 8 point. Had to drag it up the hill to the truck and was a wet muddy mess by the time I did. The hell with that....... it wasn't worth it.

I killed a turkey in Nebraska in the snow a few years ago. As much as I like to end turkeys, I have no desire to do that ever again either.

Deer move in the snow and the interesting thing is, you think they will be quiet. To the contrary I’ve found they hop in 3” snow like it was butt deep or something making p,enty of noise.
