Are you crazy? The AR platform is the most field/user friendly firearm known to man.

Pink camo? Sure it does. Some guy named Larry threatened to sue them, if they didn't make him a pink 270 to match his bow

As you also think those sorry looking DNZ scope mounts are great, I'll put your opinion in the chitter where it belongs...

Any of your standard calibers should be more than capable of dropping one at less than 100 yds, pending shot placement. For a woods gun, I'd be looking for a lightweight relatively compact gun paired with the right scope.

those fat, heavy, short range guns are great..till they ain't. Buddy of mine got a Ruger 44mag rifle when they first came out for woods hunting. It cost him a monster buck when he walked into a field one day and the buck of a lifetime was standing 250 yards away. A Rem 760 thirtysumoddoughtsix would of carried that far with ease.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Seems like you have too much anger to be carrying on discussions. Not sure what’s got you so wound up about me liking ARs and DNZ scope mounts but I promise it’s not so big of a deal you have to go playing in toilets

I would assume so but again I’ve never heard of a long action being done successfully. I’ve been looking for a 25-06 for years and those guys list one as available. That’s what I’m going to check on tomorrow while I’m snowed in from work. May have to give it a whirl!

Bean field & Cutover - 7mag with Swarovski glass
Food plot - 25-06 with Swarovski glass
Woods - Marlin 336 in 35 Remington with fixed 4x Glass

Before next I’m gonna add a 450 marlin in either a short Barrel bolt action 16-18” or single shot. Max magnification on glass will be 6x

These are my current go to’s. They may change from year to year as I have somewhat of a collectors problem

I am searching for one now. After owning a full size 7600 I am itching for a Carbine.

Great balance and very constant shooting guns.
