Sitting on a green field that's next to a 4-5 yr old cutover that's naturally regenerating, very thick. I've been seeing 10-15 does every time I've sat here. Gotta be a big boy close by. 3 does were in field when I got here about 2pm

At first I read that as "Lost a five dollar Ho i just couldn't leave it alone!". Had to re-read it grin

It takes a long time to grow an old friend.

You're missing out spec. They wide open right now. You'll catch some of the action.

They are on their feet. Just passed thru Montgomery on 65. Power line south of the river was full of deer, could not tell if there were any horns. Just north of the river there was a nice racked buck on east side of interstate, almost right there where those guys park to hunt. He looked to be eating, didn't see a doe around.

Who’s land is that? And I’ve yet to see the first deer or turkey in any of those fields and I’ve worked in Montgomery for 3 years now . Guess I don’t pass my at dawn or dusk too often. Any one know what the duck hunting is like there?

I see waterfowl more than deer/turkey, but they're all there. I see more on the power lines than the fields. As you come south, turkeys are often in the last field on your right.

There were a bunch more deer further up on the right a minute ago. Also a pile in the cemetery between mytilene and waugh.

My wife would have called and said I just shot him.

I've duck hunted a few times over there on the west side of the interstate. We never had much luck but that's duck hunting. Some days you don't fire a shot and the next day you limit out. I think the Otis elevator people own some of that land. There have been several droves of turkeys in those fields on the west side of the interstate as far back as the mid 1980's. I'd see them on my way to college at AUM.
