Sitting on a green field that's next to a 4-5 yr old cutover that's naturally regenerating, very thick. I've been seeing 10-15 does every time I've sat here. Gotta be a big boy close by. 3 does were in field when I got here about 2pm

It takes a long time to grow an old friend.

You're missing out spec. They wide open right now. You'll catch some of the action.

They are on their feet. Just passed thru Montgomery on 65. Power line south of the river was full of deer, could not tell if there were any horns. Just north of the river there was a nice racked buck on east side of interstate, almost right there where those guys park to hunt. He looked to be eating, didn't see a doe around.

And I’ve yet to see the first deer or turkey in any of those fields and I’ve worked in Montgomery for 3 years now . Guess I don’t pass my at dawn or dusk too often. Any one know what the duck hunting is like there?

As you come south, turkeys are often in the last field on your right.

I saw some on that power line Tuesday morning and sawv3 turkeys on the east side of 65 about lunch today on the power line, see more on those power lines than I ever see in those big fields

Any one know what the duck hunting is like there? I've duck hunted a few times over there on the west side of the interstate. We never had much luck but that's duck hunting. Some days you don't fire a shot and the next day you limit out. I think the Otis elevator people own some of that land. There have been several droves of turkeys in those fields on the west side of the interstate as far back as the mid 1980's. I'd see them on my way to college at AUM. Dr. B
