The VX3 is no longer produced by Leupold or available.
Perhaps you mean the VX-3i?
The VX-3i is a good scope but it is not available in a 40, 42 or 44 mm objective, to my knowledge, with an IR.
You have to step up to the 56 mm objective in the VX-3i to get it with an IR.
I just purchased two brand new Leupold VX-5HD scopes in 3-15 x 44 mm, 30 mm tube, with Duplex Firedot IR and side focus.
Got them for $718.39 each.
Most places they are $999.99 each.
They are scheduled for delivery to me tomorrow. Where did you buy your VX5 for that price?
