Hey guys I got a 170 inch deer in a bean field in Nebraska and I'm an outfitter. He shows up at the feeder or crosses the fence line at the same spot every day at 4:00PM. I've been watching him all Summer out my truck window. I am going to call every blowhard on the Sportsman and Outdoor Channel and see which group I am going get to come out and shoot it based on how man seconds I get to put my "Outfitter" name on the TV screen and how may times these guys can give me a plug while they are talking.

Good to know that someone out there is actually hunting. I don't care if they get sponsors and start plugging some treestand company just as long as they don't turn it into a commercial and they keep hunting like they are doing.
And I also outfitted and guided for years. If you think I have a freaking booner coming in regularly and Im giving HIM away to some TV show guy..instead of booking a rich hunter who will pay me over $5000 for him youre crazy too.
I had a few TV guys hunt with me outfitting. THEY PAID to be there just like other customers.

I know about them too..heck I shot one right here in Alabama...no guides, no TV cameras. They are hard to come by for sure. They arent just freaking walking around every where and any outfitter I know would call their BEST CUSTOMERS and offer it to them...not some dude on a dang TV Show. That is some crazy unrealistic BS youre spouting.
The 170 was figurative get your underwear outa your crack. You are a wannabe celebrity that has wound up on an internet board who never had the contacts.... That's why you are hunting in KY on your own place hoping to pick up a sponsor. You are a nobody. I know for a fact the producers of these TV shows get the phone calls. The magazine writers get the phone calls, hail I'm related to one of them I know first hand I've been on the dam trip to shoot a deer like this in TX with him. That's the only hunting he does is invites and setups by big companies. Also their best client with the big wallet... like Hornady, Remington, Guns & Ammo, etc. Those kinds of wallets. How do you think they get those pictures with a huge deer they shot with that new rifle that just hit the market? You ain't in and never were in that league son.
They ALL get and make those phone calls. Who paid or didn't and what they paid is irrelevant. You think people like Larry Weishuhn pay their money and take their chances. They might pay but there is nothing left to chance. Have a seat dude and slow your roll.

Look I dont want to hijack the Hunting Public thread. I like their videos and they seem like nice guys.Im hoping they shoot one here.
But, Dummy I did TV for 15 years and RETIRED in 2010. I started when there were 35 shows total idiot.
As far as contacts and sponsorships I was sponsored by the TOP companies in Hunting my whole life.
Thompson Center, Schmidt and Bender Optics, Mossy Oak, Primos calls, Double Bull Blinds, BowTech archery, NAP, Hi Viz, Lumenock, Whitetail Institute, Thermacell ( one of the first shows they ever sponsored I might add) , Pete Rickards scents, and too many more to even name. They gave me and ALL MY PROSTAFF free everything and PAID for commercial and Product sponsorship spots on our shows.
Heck I just ran out of free thermacells this year..even after selling some on here CHEAP to some of the guys. i had em by the case load...literally. I still have unopened boxes of refill cannisters and pads. I still have Primos calls in packages too. Looking for a can cheap? I got a few left..lol.
Thompson center gave all 22 of us guns ( rifles, 12 gauge shotguns and black powderguns) and paid me more then you make in a YEAR just for a 30 second commercial. Schmidt and Bender not only gave us all Binos and scopes but paid us too.
You dont know anything about what youre talking about AT ALL. Our commercials sold for $40,000 each...we had 12...so please dont try to school me. Your a freaking moron.

To tell you the truth JUNIOR, Ive read a few of your posts and I wondered if your mother dropped you on your head A LOT when you were a child. Honestly.
I worked on 5 shows and made a ton of money in TV so your opinion is not only comical but idiotic. I started as a Videographer, became an editor, then a host and then a Producer...I started in outdoor TV at the bottom and worked my way up. I also was the marketing guy for 4 of them.
PLEASE, dont tell me about producers, or shows, or sponsorships because your dumbarse dont know chit. That is a FACT.
I produced 3 Outdoor TV shows and met with the owners and marketing directors of most major companies in the sport and Ive forgotten more about doing TV then youll ever KNOW. I had to go to the SHOT show, the ATA , Big Buck Expo and the Harrisburg hunting show every year for over a decade. As well as hitting the state hunting shows to including the Bham show and Buckmasters.
There is some magazine writers on here too, and theyd tell you the same thing but they didnt want to waste their time, though they did PM me.
And hunting in KY NOW??? I actually STOPPED traveling hunting after I retired in 2010 until 3 years ago because there were years we traveled 65,000 miles in a year filming and I was SICK of it. A few years ago I started doing it again as I hunt with a few guys here that wanted to travel and hunt so we got an Illinois lease, then a couple years ago a KY Lease.

He was the marketing director for Thompson Center when they sponsored our show Trophy Quest Outdoors. That year we killed 8 big grizzly in the Kempchuka peninsula in RUSSIA, 38 bucks over 130,..the biggest a 203 and a 194..hunting in Saskatchewan and Alberta , Canada, Kansas, Texas, Illinois, Ohio, heck I cant even remember how many places and 68 gobblers in a year with their 12 gauge shotguns. We got a few elk and a stone sheep in Alaska too that year.
We got 8 grand slams of turkeys that year, and 2 World Slams where we shot goulds and Oscellateds in Mexico and Central America all on TV. We got the youngest kid to ever get a grand slam on TV..a 5 year old!
When we went to meet with Larry Weishun and Greg Ritz (who started TC and was the owner) to re sign our contracts the first thing they said was "Dang you guys killed more stuff with our guns then we did! " And they were right..we DID.. a lot more.
So PLEASE dont try to tell ME how it works. It is truly hilarious.
As far as hunts? Our show was a VERY successful show. We even had outfitting partners. All our shows did. We hunted with them every freaking year. We would shoot at least 8 bucks over 130 with just one. All Fair Chase . But we PAID for them. You think they give their limited resource away for free? Really? We paid a reduced rate but we paid.
If anyone needs to slow their Roll JUNIOR it would be your goofy arse. Half the guys on here have seen episodes of my show and know who I am. Ive helped a bunch of the guys here on where to go out of state, from Florida for Osceolas, Texas, Nebraska, Out west, South Dakota for mulies and even Colorado for Elk.
You THINK you know a lot about a lot from your posts on here. Im here to clear the air...you know NOTHING about ANYTHING from the idiotic posts Ive seen from you.
