I know plenty of people who are outstanding individuals AND wealthy enough to have nice things and nice places to hunt.

"Oh where's their hunter orange?!?!" don't have to wear it only bow only wma days... "But, but, but how are they paying to do this?!?" it's not that hard when you're not tied to family stuff... "They only shoot big bucks and I don't shoot only big bucks so, so, so it's not real enough!!" Ok then watch a couple catman videos to balance it out then...

I quit watching the canned hunts on tv years ago. I literally learned nothing from it and don’t find it entertaining at all.I got buddies that spend big $ out of state and kill giants and I’m happy for them just not impressed.You take a person that kills deer and turkey on public land land on a consistent basis most of the time is a lot better woodsman.THP and The Pinhoti project are what I’ve been wanting to see for years and I look forward to the next episode like big football game. Nothing wrong with any of it but there seems to be a market for real world hunting by the amount of viewers these guys are getting.

I know plenty of people who are outstanding individuals AND wealthy enough to have nice things and nice places to hunt. I don't think anyone is saying that. But for most people that aren't wealthy, this type show resonates more. Plus, they are legitimately excited about killing deer and turkey. Not that fake "give me a minute" stuff on some shows.

I wish I had never found The Hunting Public. I am getting absolutely nothing done. Love these guys.
I genuinely appreciate their enthusiasm, hard work, and attitude. The production quality is excellent. Storylines are complete. Language is clean. And, their integrity was revealed when Aaron passed on the turkey 30 yards over the private land yellow paint. Could have edited that out and no one would have known.
Keep it up, young men.
They shot a giant buck and it fell 50 yards across a private line, tracked it for hours and finally found it. In the middle of the night, they got in their boat, rode back to truck, rode home, researched land owner, called him, got permission, got back in boat and went and got him. Not many wouldn’t have just turned the camera off and dragged him across line and left

Hey guys I got a 170 inch deer in a bean field in Nebraska and I'm an outfitter. He shows up at the feeder or crosses the fence line at the same spot every day at 4:00PM. I've been watching him all Summer out my truck window. I am going to call every blowhard on the Sportsman and Outdoor Channel and see which group I am going get to come out and shoot it based on how man seconds I get to put my "Outfitter" name on the TV screen and how may times these guys can give me a plug while they are talking.

Agree. Can't stand those tv blowhards who think they are hot sheet for skipping around from one guided hunt to another. Any friggin stooge could shoot a nice buck like that. And I know a couple who do.

If you THINK that is what happens you couldnt be further from the truth. I know I did Outdoor TV for 15 years and you are very sadly mistaken. Heck, 99% of outfitters HATE hunting TV folks these days as every Tom , Dick and Harry with a digital camera hits them up doing this TV show , or that TV show...looking for free hunts. Most have been scammed by outdoor TV folks and want no part of them. That happens IN YOUR MIND only, AND IS not EVEN CLOSE TO REALITY. We had our own LEASES in KY, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana etc and scouted, set up stands and hunted. Wed make multiple trips there in the heat of the summer, scouting, setting up stands and generally WORKING OUR ARSES OFF! Just LIKE I STILL do on my out of state leases. There are guys right here on this site who've been there and done it with me. It is hot, miserable and tiring work. Most outdoor TV shows are hunting in those states for a REASON. They have BIG bucks there. And the industry is driven by Big bucks being harvested. If you want to get sponsors dollars you have to shoot big bucks generally speaking. Sponsors arent paying you big dollars to go stick a fork horn buck on TV...it is just reality. The TV viewer wants to see big bucks dying...fair chase. You very rarely get any calls from outfitters PERIOD, though in the older days we would (late 90's early 2000's). The only outfitters we worked with were guys who we met when we first started and they were first starting and we hunted their lands and promoted their business over years of working together. And even then..if youre hunting big whitetails...youre paying for them...maybe a reduced rate..but youre still paying. A lot of you have NO IDEA how it really works but boy, youre sure experts about it...  All anyone has to do is just ask...you know all about it. Too freaking funny...

If you think I have a freaking booner coming in regularly and Im giving HIM away to some TV show guy..instead of booking a rich hunter who will pay me over $5000 for him youre crazy too. I had a few TV guys hunt with me outfitting. THEY PAID to be there just like other customers. BTW, Do you even realize how rare 170 inch deer are???? I know about them too..heck I shot one right here in Alabama...no guides, no TV cameras. They are hard to come by for sure. They arent just freaking walking around every where and any outfitter I know would call their BEST CUSTOMERS and offer it to them...not some dude on a dang TV Show. That is some crazy unrealistic BS youre spouting.

You are a wannabe celebrity that has wound up on an internet board who never had the contacts.... That's why you are hunting in KY on your own place hoping to pick up a sponsor. You are a nobody. I know for a fact the producers of these TV shows get the phone calls. The magazine writers get the phone calls, hail I'm related to one of them I know first hand I've been on the dam trip to shoot a deer like this in TX with him. That's the only hunting he does is invites and setups by big companies. Also their best client with the big wallet... like Hornady, Remington, Guns & Ammo, etc. Those kinds of wallets. How do you think they get those pictures with a huge deer they shot with that new rifle that just hit the market? You ain't in and never were in that league son. They ALL get and make those phone calls. Who paid or didn't and what they paid is irrelevant. You think people like Larry Weishuhn pay their money and take their chances?
