That video shows me those boys know what they are doing. Deer hunting ain't rocket science, but there is kind of a science to it as they are showing. Looking forward to seeing if they get lucky and come up with something nice.

When they zoom in on their location on his phone, you can see that says Sam r murphy, and it appears they're very close to a property line. I hope they have success. I do enjoy seeing them struggle just a bit though, and keep talking about how 'thick' the woods are in bama.

Or the first 2 year old 4 pt they see and then talk about how they don’t look at age or score.

That’s the one thing I wish they’d drop.

And this is why hunting is dying a slow death.... people like this think people should only hunt to kill big or old deer. Good grief.... if you have to turn hunting into a pecker measuring contest then theirs something off in yo head

I think this is why hunting is dying a slow death cause people think if you like killing old big deer you are in a packers measuring contest and say something is off in their head. If you like to shoot old deer do it if you like shooting young deer do it then we can all move along

I think I was misunderstood. Big fans of these guys, and of course, shoot whatever makes you happy and is legal. I’m not saying they should only shoot bigger or more mature deer.

I’m just talking about their whole predetermined mindset to not discuss score or age, period. I’ve listened to every single podcast they have put out, anytime anyone asks about size or age the immediately shut it down with “well we don’t age them” or “big enough”. If someone says “what’s your biggest deer?” , it’s pretty easy to say “my Iowa buck from 2017”, not give a speech about how you don’t believe in competition.

Like I said, that’s fine. I just feel like they beat that into the ground.

Reminds me of caddyshack when Ty Webb says he doesn’t keep score, and Judge Shmales asks “well how do you measure yourself against other golfers?” To which he responds, “by height”

They aren't exactly hunting like Chuck Sykes or anything. They're driving around in subarus with kayaks on the roof, windows wont roll down, doors wont shut, and dont start half the time. They're hunting all public land pretty much and not preferred quota or soa type hunts. Theyve discussed it in the past, but they all have jobs and this is a side job that I'm sure they make some money from. I personally think their shows and approach is refreshing compared to the canned hunts all the tv guys are showing. Any idot can go shoot a 170" deer after the outfitter releases him from the small pen. It's nice to see the struggles that most hunters face day to day

I did misunderstand you! You are right. I’ve always thought it was odd that they never discuss the score of any buck as well.
