What stage of the rut are they at on Sam Murphy. They start getting cranked up around Christmas and are wide open around New's Years.

They are going to catch some great weather after weeks of crappy ass rain, they have perfect timing for the rut in that area, and they are on some sign already it looks like. I bet they get something decent and see a fair amount of deer.

I bet they do pretty good. On the ground or 6 ft up don't make a bit of difference if your in the right spot.

We hunted Sam Murphy Tuesday and my buddy had a small buck chase a doe by him. Lots of scrapes in the area we hunt.

I’ve been following their Instagram story and as of yesterday they had gotten on some decent buck sign in a pine/hardwood creek bottom transition area. It’ll be hard hunting but those fellas can flat get it done, wouldn’t surprise me if they kill a good one.

My wife saw one of them today, appeared to be working from the public library, guess time will tell maybe they will post up soon and let us all know. I did see they are going to do a seminar in Brandon, Ms in February.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Glad they are in Bama, from the looks of it they seem to have made quick of getting on sign will see how getting a shot at a buck plays out.
