Russell co. This morning. Rut is picking up finally. Passed on a medium size 3 year old 8 point a little while ago. There's bigger ones here. It's a pretty day and I got a comfy spot so I got time to wait.

Hunting a 300yd stretch of road in between some thinned pines. After seeing a bunch of chasing last week I expected today to be a little slow but I’ve already seen 11 with most of them being bucks right behind does. Now I just need one big enough.

In Barbour county. Just nice to be in the woods first time this season. Watching a cutover where I saw a good buck yesterday tearing up some trees. Could not get on him. Nothing so far this morning but duck hunters blasting at daylight in the distance.
